The given method to increase the Alkalinity is not correct.

"How Else Can I Increase the Alkalinity of my Water?"

1- Squeezing fresh lemon into the water makes the water no Acid (less Alkanized).

2- Adding ph booster to the water only can increase water Alkalinity.

I have ph degital Pen to check ph, as I add ph booster to reduce my Uric Acid in blood and make balance.

Usually I drink water with 9.5 ph to balance the high Acidity in my blood. When I measure the water with Lemon, the ph was lower.

You should test Lemon before writting your wrong information article.

I think it is so funny how these people at the end of this discussion keep saying that lemon is acidic and it is bad for you! That is not true! Lemon has been proven to become alkaline in your body and does STAY ACIDIC prior to being in your body! Please do your research before calling a bunch of smart people idiots!!

Yes Lemon and Lime are not acidic once they enter the body and are infact alkaline. What hasn't been mentioned though is that the chosen fruits should contain seeds meaning that they are not hybrid versions and contain the full mineral content that nature destined them to produce. I believe that Limes are better than Lemon as far as containing more minerals. Do your research, what ive discovered is that most of the old / original vegetables / fruits / grains and not the hybrids we today see in supermarkets are the best living foods to eat.

Of course the fruits and other stuff aren't mentioned, the topic is just water and making it alkaline. The article is not about "the best living foods to eat".

With everything said, remember in order to have a healthy body at the cellular level you have to feed your body vitamins, minerals and protein every day and it is very hard to get it in your diet. Don't forget to find a good supplement (not artificial) that contains all the vitamins and minerals you need and a good soy protein every day. It makes a difference even if you are eating healthy. It is a combination of things that helps you stay healthy not just one thing.

Contrary to popular belief that soy is a health food, evidence reveals that soy consumption has been linked to numerous disorders, including infertility, increased cancer and infantile leukemia, Type1 diabetes, and precocious puberty in children fed soy formula. Hundreds of epidemiological, clinical and laboratory studies link soy to malnutrition, digestive distress, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders, cognitive, immune system breakdown, and even heart disease and cancer.

I switch from whey to soy because whey upset my IBS....now soy also upset my IBS, and I was told to stay away from either one of them. I now use Hemp protein powder. I use to be a BIG soy user, not anymore. I also suffer with Candida.

I am doing a treatment to control the candida population and I am drinking "aqua flora" Candida High Potency 9 (addresses all 9 strains of candida) at night; also taking Enzymes (100% plant source digestive enzymes) after meals; and also taking probiotics daily. I have to drink aqua flora for 30 days and repeat it in 6 months. Hope this can help you :)

Soy? Eat soy? You are SO wrong! Over 99% of soy on the market is GMO and even before that it had certain enzymes which interfered with protein synthesis. Learn about soy before you talk about what you don't know.

Yes, it presented different ways to achieve the same goal.

Some individuals in this post is hell bent on deceiving the masses. People add your lemon and your lime to your water because the end result of these acidic fruits will become alkaline in the blood. If you are a sheeple and refuse to accept this well that is unfortunate. If you are into deception and think the only way to continue to fool the mass is through lies and deceptions, shame on you. You would think DKN the doctor above would know better than telling lies that these two precious fruits do not produce an alkaline end product. These are the people who we put our trust in with our healthcare but never forget this folks, these people are also paid to keep you sick. As someone who entered the health care industry to help people I am appalled that so many people in the industry focus on money, they do not evaluate or question any information that is fed to them through the formal education, instead they swallow it as gospels. These are the same people who will tell you that many toxic chemicals will cause no harm to your body. Wake up people. Your health is your responsibility, and no one else will care about your health than you. Think about things that you are told, question everything, and research if the answers given to you do not make sense and even when they do make sense, use your own innate instinct to determine what is good for you. Putting poisons into our body can NEVER heal the body, it destroys it by weakening the immune system and cause autoimmune diseases. WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP,

It's so very bad and sad to know that so many people have suffered and died, because of the deceitful lies told to us through the years, and why, because of the money, limited fame and etc? There are so many possible solutions and remedies to almost every and anything we require. We just need the correct combination and method to use to get&receive what we need. All natural remedies are the best,I believe.I can't afford to be paying for all sorts of medicines, machines and etc...I'm learning more of how to research and seek any and many possibilities, that will better my health, but I know it takes the right combination to acheive a goal. Clean water is very important, but I also learnt a good combination of walking, exercising, detoxing the body(when needed),a balanced nutri. food plan and certain herbs and spices at times, makes a great differents....p.s. Get the poision&etc.. out of our bodies with right or great combination...

This article was confusing more than anything else as there seem to be two completely opposite opinions circulating relative to RO water. Although this article suggests that "reverse osmosis water is far more alkaline than tap or bottled water," others disagree.

Ezinearticles, an online resource, for example, says:

"Reverse osmosis water is acidic in nature. The removal of alkaline mineral from water produces acidic water. Acidic water can be dangerous to the body system, causing calcium and other essential minerals to be stripped from bones and teeth, in order to neutralize its acidity. . .In spite of this shortcoming, reverse osmosis water is becoming very popular amongst Americans, because the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks."

Likewise, allaboutwater, another online source, mirrors the opinion that RO water is acidic:

"Reverse osmosis, also, by removing alkaline mineral constituents of water, produces acidic water. Acidic water can be dangerous to the body system."

Alkalinebuzz.blogspot, also online, is in that same camp:

"RO and Distilled waters are mineral deficient and strongly acid. . ."

On the heartspring web site, Dr. Zoltan Rona, author of a paper on 'Pure Water,' recommending in no uncertain terms against its continued consumption is quoted to have a similar opinion:

"According to the U.S. EPA, 'Distilled water (which is identical to RO water ~Ed), being essentially mineral-free, is very aggressive, in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact. Notably, carbon dioxide from the air is rapidly absorbed, making the water acidic and even more aggressive. Many metals are dissolved by distilled water'. . . Longevity is associated with the regular consumption of hard water (high in minerals). Disease and early death is more likely to be seen with the long term drinking of distilled water. As Reverse Osmosis produced water is identical in nature to distilled water we can make the same assumptions."

The list goes on and on. One has but to google "RO water acidic" to tap into the the wealth of contestants.

I would appreciate a straight answer based on scientific evidence. Do the tests determine RO water to be acidic? Or do they determine RO water to be alkaline? Until it is proven otherwise, I am going to side with the opinion that RO removes minerals from water and thus renders it acidic.

Do your own homework.  You cannot believe everything you read in print. Buyer beware! In continued good health. . .

Go with distilled, add a pinch of sea salt, eat a good diet that has sea vegetables, put the water out in the moon to structure it and you'll be fine. Th small amount of minerals you get in tap water, spring, well or any other kind of water is almost to miniscule to even worry about You would have to drink about 60 gklasses of water a day to make any appreciative difference in your health but if you do that, you get pollutants, posons, drugs and all kinds of othr stuff in the water and I would rather drink distilled water and make up any so-called mineral shortages by taking kelp, addung organic apple cider vinegar, adding a pinch of sea salt and structuring the water by either useing neodymium magnets attached to the spout so that the water paces thru the magnetic field along it's way to the collection bottle or just put it out in the moonlight overnigh. Or, a combination of any or all of the above, lol.
